Vampire Baby

I think of you, teeth bared
like a girl. One night, I bite
your neck and you call me

Nosferatu and I say at least
give me Lestat. Blond boy
with too many wants—kissing

boys drunk with wine. I’m too
girl for you, you say, hands full
of bird. I take them in mine and

the feathers turn to gummy
worms. You swallow each one,
and in your teeth, they glitter

like fangs.
