A Pocket Digest of Faerie Coinage

Silver gets you
a night bruised in cobweb
a waltz through dewdrop
a swallow of moonshine
a sweet spring under sea

Gold gets you
a cup of jewelweed, brimming
his glance gracing your own
lips pressed to your knuckles
something hidden in the river

Stone gets you
lightest touch of hemlock
head spinning cold shadow
root bound and burgeoning
a taste of him under tongue

Bone gets you
a breath of dandelion seed
a blue lizard’s tail, moving
the fall of a forgotten feather
a century of dawns alone
