The elapsed time winks back at the end of our call.
We screech on a bench until the bug bites win.
I replay the birthday voicemail. We wear the same hat
by accident! Let me make a mobile of this–

my friends, my planets. Not to be woowoo
but I feel them spinning close, big as hell,
each of them clowning on a void that would’ve wrung me
had they gotten here a minute later.
