a visual art series by Cynthia Yatchman

Artist’s Statement:

These paintings were made during our most restrictive Covid Times, when many of us were spending more time at home and indoors. I found myself bringing nature indoors and many of these paintings were inspired  from the colors and textures and shapes of the flowers and plants that  I lived with during that time.

These paintings are made with highly saturated alcohol inks on yupo paper, a very slick synthetic non-absorbent paper that allows for some beautiful movement and flow on the surface of the paper.
